## Job Description
Summary: The Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or Clinical Laboratory Technician (CLT) performs tests with appropriate quality control in the fields of clinical chemistry, hematology, blood banking, serology, microbiology and urinalysis to obtain data for use in diagnosis and treatment of various clinical conditions. The MLT/CLT collects blood specimens, performs preventive maintenance on laboratory equipment, and clinically correlates test results with patient age, sex and diagnosis. The MLT is involved in developing, maintaining and evaluating new procedures, teaching students and training new laboratory personnel. Casual position requires working 2 shifts per month and every third weekend. Position includes varied Day/evening/night shifts.
EDUCATION and CERTIFICATION: Associate''s degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school. Successful completion of an approved six month to one year internship/training program. Certification as a Medical Lab Technician (MLT) or Clinical Lab Technician (CLT) from a nationally recognized credentialing agency for Laboratory professionals including (National Credentialing Agency (NCA), American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP), or American Medical Technologists (AMT). Pending certification is acceptable but must be obtained within 12 months of hire with no more than two examination attempts. Current CPR required or must obtain in 6 months of hire.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
